AREAS OF FOCUS
HEALTHCARE
The purpose of OCEAN CITY ORPHANAGE is to keep children healthy and thriving. All children deserve a healthy start in life. We want to reduce by one- third the number of children stunned from malnutrition since 2000. Children in the urban community across Ghana are struggling from inconsistent access to enough food for a healthy active lifestyle.
EDUCATION
We understand the importance of education for our children. We help children get ready for kindergarten and learn to read. We are especially focused on reaching vulnerable children in urban areas where early learning resources are scarce. We ensure that no child's learning stops because they are caught up in crisis.
YOUTH EMPOWERMENT
OCEAN CITY ORPHANAGE engages young people who are also the least likely to have access to mainstream education and training, young people with disabilities and youth who engage in hazardous work. We prioritize programs such as vocational skills trainings, leadership seminars, advanced young people's political and civil participation and rights, that amplify youth voices, increase the decision-making powers and raise awareness of their rights and needs, and that empower young people to educate and inspire their peers to act.
SOCIAL INTERVENTIONS
OCEAN CIT ORPHANAGE invests in under-capitalized organizations that provide critical services to vulnerable children. Our primary goal is by promoting responsive and nurturing caregiving, supporting maternal mental health and social protection against poverty reduction strategies that strengthen family capacity to provide for children..
LEADERSHIP SEMINAR
The Foundation offers a leadership developmental program that aims to develop the strongest, most diverse talent and equip leaders to achieve better results so kids, families and communities thrive.
